The best hitter is back…Bissett to return as early as the weekend

Toronto Blue Jays starting shortstop Bo Bissett is close to returning to action.

The Buffalo Bisons, the Blue Jays’ Triple-A affiliate, announced today (Nov. 16)카지노사이트 that Bissett will make a rehabilitation game against the Rochester Red Wings (Triple-A Washington Nationals) on Saturday.

Manager John Schneider told MLB.com and other local media outlets that Bissett will play designated hitter one day and shortstop the next.

If his rehabilitation goes well, he could return this weekend for a three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds.

Bissett is batting .321 with a .352 on-base percentage, .494 slugging percentage, 17 home runs and 59 RBIs in 106 games this season. He currently has 144 hits, the most in the American League.

He injured his knee while running the bases in a home game against the Baltimore Orioles on August 1.

He won’t be the only one rehabbing in Triple-A today. Right-handers Trevor Richards and Chad Green will also pitch.

Outfielder Kevin Kiermaier, who suffered a cut on his elbow, is also progressing well. He could return with Bissett as early as this weekend.

Meanwhile, Toronto recalled right-hander Jordan Romano from the disabled list in favor of optioning right-hander Nate Pearson to Triple-A for today’s home game against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Third baseman Matt Chapman, who was scratched from the starting lineup last game with a finger injury, was also removed from the roster.
