Scherzer throws seven shutout innings as Texas beats Oakland for eighth straight win

Max Scherzer led the Texas Rangers to their eighth straight win.

The right-hander started and pitched seven innings of three-hit ball in a 6-1 win over the Oakland Athletics at the Coliseum in Oakland, California, USA, on 9 September.

The win snapped an eight-game winning streak for Texas. It’s the longest streak for the club since a 10-game winning streak in 2017.
