“It is different from the mindset” KBL’s promising player’s determination

“I think my mindset is very different from usual.”

Jang Hyuk-junㅋㅋㅋ벳 (193cm G, F), a sophomore at Yongsan High School, played for 22 minutes and 41 seconds in the match against Songdo High School in the 2023 Federation Presidency National Men’s and Middle School Basketball Preliminaries, which opened at Gimcheon Gymnasium in Gyeongbuk on the 2nd, and recorded 19 points and 12 rebounds, and the team won (127 -64).

After the game, Jang Hyuk-jun said, “I missed winning the previous two tournaments. He said players should have a challenging spirit. Thanks to the success of the first game, I think I have prepared an opportunity to gain more confidence,” he said of his victory.

Yongsan High School, which was ahead in terms of power, finished the first half with a score of 79-26 and tipped the pendulum early. Nevertheless, Jang Hyuk-jun did not show satisfaction.

He said, “I paid more attention to the defensive part than the offense. He tried to reduce errors by playing a little more stable, but personally, I think it came out only around 70%.” Jang Hyuk-jun said.

Jang Hyuk-jun passed the 2023 KBL Prospective Player Overseas Training Project and returned after completing the IMG basketball training program in the United States by the end of February. What was the most helpful?

Jang Hyuk-jun said, “I still lack a lot, but I think I have some room. He learned a lot about culture as well as basketball in America. Our mindset was very different from ours. I think it really helped me a lot while experiencing new things.”

Lastly, he also revealed his determination to participate in the competition. Jang Hyuk-jun said, “This time, I think my mindset is very different from usual. I will put down all the personal parts and only aim for the team championship.”
