Aaron Rogers (USA), quarterback of the National Football League (NFL) Green Bay Packers, won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Amateur Division of the American Professional Golf (PGA) Tour.
Paired with pro golfer Ben Silverman (USA), Rogers shot 67 on the third day of the tournament held at Pebble Beach Golf Links (par 72) in Monterey, California, USA on the 6th (Korean time), for a total of 3 rounds, 26 under par 189. Climbed to number 1 on the Tarot. Amateur participants pair up with one professional player to play individually, but play in a ‘best-ball’ method in which the better score of each hole is the team’s score.
Silverman recorded 1 over par for three days, making the pro cut off. This means that Rogers contributed a significant portion of the 26-under. 안전놀이터
After becoming a starting quarterback in the NFL, he led his team to the playoffs 11 times in 15 seasons, and was named the MVP of the regular season 4 times.
Rogers was delighted, saying, “It’s really meaningful,” and “It’s always been on my bucket list (a goal I want to achieve while I’m alive).”
Rogers Joe was one stroke ahead of FedEx Express President and CEO Don Collerand and professional golfer Peter Maltati (USA) Joe.
The top 25 teams in the tournament were supposed to determine the winner in the final 4 rounds, but due to strong winds, the game was suspended on the 4th, and the progress of the tournament was disrupted, so the amateur players were adjusted to determine the rankings based on the results of the 3rd round, 54 holes.
Retired soccer star Gareth Bale (Wales) teamed up with Joseph Bramlett (USA) and recorded a total of 16 under par 199 in the third round, finishing the tournament in a tie for 16th place. Bramlett hit 8 under par through the third round. It can be assumed that Bale performed not far behind Bramlet.
Bale said, “I received a lot of praise, but the burden was enormous.”
At the same time, he said of professional golfer Bramlett, “It is a different experience just to see him hit the ball,” and “The power and ball touch were (me) different. You can’t find a better partner than this,” he marveled at the PGA Tour player’s performance.
Professional players will play 4 rounds on the 6th and 7th.
