The time for veteran infielder Park Seok-min (38) to recover his self-esteem is approaching.
Coach Kang In-kwon,안전놀이터 who leads the NC Dinos, talked about the condition of Park Seok-min, who has recently suffered from an injury, ahead of the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League Kiwoom Heroes, which will be held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on the 14th.

Director Kang In-kwon said, “I haven’t been able to exercise yet. the rehabilitation phase. But I have recovered a lot. I think it’s about 90% recovered. However, a little more technical training is required. If I predict now, I think I will be able to return around mid-June.”
Park Seok-min suffered a hamstring injury in the LG Twins match held on April 19 at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul. At the beginning of the 4th inning, he hit the ball from opponent starter Casey Kelly in the direction of 3rd base with 1 out 1st and 3rd base. He sprinted to prevent a double hit, but then collapsed with pain in his right hamstring. The day after the injury, Park Seok-min was excluded from the first team entry.
For Park Seok-min, this season was more important than ever. Due to his injury and suspension, he has not been able to perform well recently. In particular, in his last season, he appeared in 16 games and had a batting average of .149 with 7 hits and 2 RBIs, the most sluggish performance since his debut.
Park Seok-min started to restore his self-esteem ahead of his season. he was terribly embarrassed. His annual salary was also reduced by a whopping 650 million won from last year’s annual salary of 700 million won, and he signed a contract with the club for 50 million won.
Until he was sidelined due to injury, he had a batting average of .250 with 11 hits, 1 home run, 6 RBIs and 5 runs scored. When he returns, will he be able to show the side of Park Seok-min we knew before? Park Seok-min has a batting average of .288, 1531 hits, 269 homers, 1039 RBIs and 878 runs in 1682 KBO games. He is a man who has gone through all sorts of hardships in the KBO. His experience is sure to be of great help to NC.
